New year, new adventures! My new years resolution this year was definitely to spend less money on bullshit and save up for more travels! 2017 is going to be a great travel year and i’m so exited for the adventures ahead of me. The year will start off with a girls trip followed by a romantic week on a greek island. Shortly after that holiday i will be packing my bags for a once in a lifetime experience. I will leave Europe for a month to do charity work. Last but not least i will be finding myself at a Miranda Lambert concert! More
‘Why am i doing this?’ ‘This is insane’ ‘Who’s idea was this?’ These are the thoughts running through my mind while my feet are getting strapped. Just a few minutes ago we were still chilling at the beach, working on our tan and cool down in the sea. We both couldn’t stop watching the pier where people were bungee jumping, we looked at each other and said: lets go.
The Black Forest, beautiful rivers, lakes and conifers.
Germany isn’t all industry and city, in this part of the country nature takes centre stage. We decided to take a day-hike from Baden-Baden to the Geroldsauer Wasserfall and we were pleasantly surprised by the beauty of the area. Imagine opening your storybook, you close your eyes, make a wish and suddenly you’re being magically transported into the world of fairytales. The Wenzel Route is a journey through 1000 years of city history. The historical heart of the old town was declared World Heritage by UNESCO. Luxembourg is one of Europe’s lesser-known countries even though it’s so beautiful, which makes it a real hidden gem. You can get a free map of the walk at the city tourist office which is located at Place Guillaume II –visit the Notre Dame and the Grand-Ducal palace while you’re there!– from there it’s only a short 10 minute walk to the start of the route.
Road-tripping might just be the most relaxing way to travel. The only schedule you’ll have to keep in mind is your own. You can go wherever you want and stop whenever you want. Road-tripping is great, but it isn’t as careless as it seems. You can’t just get in the car and drive off, a good road-trip needs proper preparation. To help you with this i created this Guide to a perfect Road-Trip!
